BHM Day 17: Angela Bassett





Today we shine our BHM spotlight on the amazingly talented actor, Angela Bassett. She studied her craft at Yale and really has given some awesome portrayals of some strong black women:

1.) Tina Tuner in "What's Love Got to Do with It'
2.) Rosa Parks
3.) Betty Shabazz in 'Malcolm X'
4.) Katherine Jackson
5.) VOletta Wallace in "Notorious"

She is a great actress who carries herself with such class and grace. I really respect the work she does and the standard that she sets for other Black actors. With all that being said, I love her playing Bernie in "Waiting to Exhale" She played the hell out of that role and made that character so damned easy to relate to. Here is one of the best scenes from that movie:
